This process involves identifying triggers, antecedents, and consequences of behaviors, analyzing patterns, and developing a behavior intervention plan tailored to address specific behavioral challenges effectively. By understanding the function behind the behavior, parents can implement targeted strategies, increasing the effectiveness of behavior management approaches and promoting positive behavior change in their child. ​ FBA Process: 1. Define the target behavior. 2. Conduct initial assessment through interviews, observation, and data collection. 3. Determine function of the target behavior. 4. Develop a Behavior Intervention Plan based on function of behavior. 5. Monitor and adjust implementation of Behavior Intervention Plan. The Functional Behavior Assessment is an individualized process that can take approximately 10-15 hours to complete over several weeks to maximize effectiveness.
